American Red Cross Emergency Opperationations Center - West Los Angeles
The Red Cross Emergency Operations Center was built to coordinate relief actions after a local disaster. Our electrical & integration scope was design/build, it included a 50 kVA Eaton Powerware UPS & 250 kVA Kohler Generator Installation. The 2,000 Sq. Ft Operations Center includes fixed work stations for about forty trained volunteers as well as a radio/communications room with VHF, UHF, and short wave radio bands as well as satellite channels. The radio transceivers use the Lyncole XIT Grounding system we installed to optimize antenna performance. The Operations Center also includes three wide screen XGA Panasonic Projectors with a custom Stewart projection screen that is over thirty feet wide. We installed over 200 certified CAT5E network ports for data and IP phones that have access to backup satellite services. The project also remolded their blood donation center. After the center was completed we installed a biometric access control and IP security camera system throughout the entire building. Click on the picture below to see the EOC full size.
